Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This page brings together, in one place, what happens when you cancel a VoKart subscription. It sits alongside our Terms of Service — where the Terms and this page differ, the Terms govern.
1. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription yourself from Account Settings in the VoKart app or web dashboard. No phone call and no notice period is required.
If you cannot reach that screen, write to support@vokart.in from the email address registered on the account and we will cancel it for you.
2. What happens to your access
Cancellation takes effect immediately. Your subscription status is set to cancelled and its end date is set to the day you cancel — your paid features stop on that day rather than running on to the end of the period you have already paid for. Please cancel on the day you actually intend to stop.
If you set up autopay, cancel the autopay mandate as well. Cancelling the subscription does not by itself cancel a standing payment mandate you gave your bank or UPI app. You can cancel autopay from the same Account Settings area; if you are unsure whether a mandate is still live, write to support@vokart.in and we will confirm.
3. Before you cancel
Download whatever records you need while your account is still active. The Reports section produces your sales and purchase registers, stock register, customer and supplier ledgers, day-end summaries and GST returns, in CSV, XLSX or PDF.
There is no single-click "export my whole account" action. If you need something the Reports section does not cover, write to support@vokart.in before you cancel and we will extract it for you.
4. Refunds
Refund entitlements are set by clause 4 of the Terms of Service:
- Annual plans cancelled within 30 days of purchase are eligible for a refund on a pro-rata basis.
- Monthly plans are not refundable once the billing cycle has commenced.
Refunds are not issued automatically when you cancel. To claim one, write to support@vokart.in from your registered email address, quoting the shop name and the date of purchase. Cancelling first does not forfeit a refund you are entitled to — the entitlement is judged from the purchase date, not from the date you raise the request.
5. Your data after cancellation
We keep your data for 90 days after cancellation, so that you can return and pick up where you left off. After that window it is deleted.
You do not have to wait 90 days. You can ask us to delete it sooner through the data deletion request page; we process such requests within 30 days. Records we are required by law to keep — such as GST transaction records under Indian tax law — are retained for the statutory period regardless. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
6. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how a cancellation or refund was handled, raise it with support@vokart.in first. If it is still unresolved, escalate to legal@vokart.in, or to our Grievance Officer — see Grievance Redressal.
